As my first year at North Park in Chicago wraps up, and I part ways from new friends, I look forward to spending the summer at home, and my Autumn semester in Sweden. But hey, it's a bummer to leave the things I was growing to like.
So just to remember a bit, I thought I'd put together a little collection of Instagrams from the past month or so.
| I'll miss the lincoln park free zoo |
| I'll miss these guys as we each go to our separate ways |
| We'll spot the globe from washington to finland and korea (and places in between) |
| I'm bummed there won't be any more late night shenanigians by the river with these guys |
| or calm afternoons by the other river |
| But hey, at least there is a triangle carved into the log to remember these times |
| I will miss and our weird iphoto sessions |
| Yeah - I'm gonna be missing the heck out of these weirdos |
| And hey, I'll even miss my (art) classes and teachers, and taking breaks on the fire escape |
| I'll miss the weird pockets of Swedish culture in North Park and Anderssonville |
| But not TOO much, since I'm going to be in Sweden next fall |
| I won't miss makeshift kitchens |
| Because our dormmates don't know how to clean up after themselves |
| I will miss small group. Including: Picnics, Rants, Kelli's creeper face, and Tracy's hate of all good things |
| I'll miss procrastinating with Froyo |
| and late night dinner fare |
| I'll miss Andrea's smiling face |
| and her pranking infatuation |
| I'll miss friends who know me a little too well |
| But I won't miss Personal Health class |
| Or thinking the Loop is going up in flames (OK, maybe I will... Just a bit) |
| But it kills me a little to leave Chicago in the height of its beauty |
| and I will miss the city grunge |
| I wish I'd caught move sunrises over Lake Michigan |
| It just seems so wrong to leave just as things are getting good |
| But new friends and new adventures await... |
| and my bags are already packed... |
| So I'll take my own advice, and just take it one day at a time |
