zoo fun...

After the massive flood we experienced last week, we're finally warming up here in Chicago and were are finally having Spring

a fairly swollen portion of the Chicago River
Given the lovely weather over the weekend, we decided to go to the Lincoln Park free zoo

Eating candy and writing haikus in Finnish on the train

Not pictured: Red Mango that was consumed minutes prior to making this picture

Finally, we arrived at the promised land

A what a view that land had!

Could it be? Spring blooming?

How many animals are in this shot?

Sara

An anxious little guy

More anxious little guys

Some more monkeys

and even more monkeys

Unfortunately most of the big cats were off display for dinner time

And this little guy was really into that... carcass

idag...

spring cleaning, relaxing outdoors, and taking nature walks...

ahhh, april

I moved rooms at the beginning of the semester -- this double is thankfully slightly more roomy than my former 7' x 11'' single last semester

lovely spring light pouring in

Saara... Our rooms are no longer next door to each other. However, we still can poke out our windows and see each other

after a drab Chicago winter, this 70 degree weather calls for headstands, outdoor naps, and frisbee on the hump...
and hooping, of course

that's all for now. I will be posting spring break photos soon... I'm just waiting on some of the 35mm to be processed.
