Film shots from Abby, Hilary and my time spent in the Omaha Zoo's aquarium a couple weeks ago.

I love the aquarium

everything feels so other-worldly

each one is like its own little mini-world...

baby grip

Tree Flowers
So yesterday I went out to Maranatha and took some photos for fun of my friends Bill and Lindsay Griepenstoh's (did I spell that right?) nearly 1-year old baby, Judah.

"Hey - lets plop him down there in that grass. Yeah - that's gonna be a good shot" I felt kinda like Deb in Napoleon Dynamite...
This was kinda my first 'real' baby photoshoot type thing... It was fairly different than taking photos of my friends/myself, like I'm used to.
baby judah

"He can stand up if you stand him next to something" "Oh, okay good. Hmm... Uh is there anything he can stand against...?" "Uh, how about that propane tank? ha" "OK!" I'm really open to any suggestions when I take photos...

Judah likes dandelions - don't tell his father

"I could put his shoes on. But his toes are just so cute!" -L

Oh, and I had some assistants: Twins Abbie & Dannie accompanied me (aka held my tripod/extra memory cards/played the 'make a zombie' app on my iPhone)

Dannie figuring my tripod out, and Abbie admiring the pretty tree flowers.
Figures.
Dannie wouldn't let me take her photo (i swear this girl is me, about 4 years ago), so here's one of Abbie.
Some more of Judah Baby
Not gonna lie, I really like this one

Judah's hand, and my fingers

rather strong grip, that child has...

pondering life's meaning, i'm sure...
I believe this face was a result of the following photo:

Bill's caption to this photo: "Little baby Judah tried to get around the tree as fast as possible to escape his mentally handicapped parents"

Well, I think that's all for now... I have some more film shots that I may upload later next week once I finish off the roll they're on/process the film... Oh one last one:
